In this episode, we take a look back at the history of mobile screening and crushing, from the first designs, functions, and patents up to today with the integration of new technology, expanded function, and applications. Darren Finlay joins The Crownsmen Show to talk about TEREX FINLAY and the incredible world of tracked mobile crushing, screening, and conveying.

Terex Finlay is a pioneer with a 60-year heritage in the quarry, mining construction, demolition, and recycling industry. Terex Finlay has been manufacturing a comprehensive range of tracked mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment for over 60 years. Terex Finlay are global pioneers in tracked mobile solutions and offer a comprehensive range of equipment to the quarrying, mining, construction, demolition and recycling industries. Our range of innovative machines is manufactured to provide efficient production, low operational costs and ease of maintenance.

Equipment Highlights

Conveyors: Terex Finlay Conveyors have been developed as a comprehensive range of robust, reliable, and efficient bulk material handling and stockpiling solutions. The range consists of Tracked Mobile Conveyors, High and Low-Level Feeders, Radial and Telescopic Stockpilers.

Each of their Conveyors provides mobility and flexibility in a wide range of free-flowing bulk material applications including aggregates, ores, coal, wood chips, pellets, fertilizers, grains, and truck loading. Each model has been designed for moving or stockpiling material efficiently and productively while minimizing the operator and other associated on-site costs.

Cone Crushers: Terex Finlay Cone Crushers are renowned for their capabilities in crushing mid-hard and above mid-hard ores and rocks. The Finlay range of cone crushers provides flexibility, high rates of productivity, and excellent product shape in secondary and tertiary applications.

Jaw Crushers: Terex Finlay tracked Mobile Jaw Crushers are renowned for their capabilities in the reduction and sizing of aggregates for construction materials and also recycling construction waste. The Finlay range of Jaw Crushers are designed to meet the toughest demands of primary crushing applications with their impressive power, reliability and proven performance. One highlight was the Terex Finlay J-1175 Tracked Jaw Crusher: A high-performance and aggressive mobile crusher. Incorporating a Terex Jaques JW42 jaw crusher and a heavy-duty vibrating grizzly feeder, the Terex Finlay J-1175 gives optimum production in a range of applications. Its compact size, quick set up times, ease of transport and simple maintenance make the Terex Finlay J-1175 Tracked Jaw Crusher ideal for quarrying, mining, demolition and recycling applications.

Impact Crushers: Terex Finlay offers a comprehensive range of Mobile Impact Crushers that excel in quarrying, mining, demolition and recycling applications. Combined with our after-sales support the Finlay range of Impact Crushers.

T-Link Telematics: REMOTE PLANT MAXIMISATION. That’s what the Terex Finlays’ T-Link telematics system is all about. T-Link telematics system is the optimum tool to connect you remotely to your Terex Finlay equipment. At any given time you can see the exact location and status of your crushers and screeners. But even better, this information also shows you precisely what areas you can improve in order to remotely optimize your profitability without needing to be standing beside your machine

Hybrid Technology: Terex Finlay offers a comprehensive line up of hybrid crushers and screeners that can be electrically driven allowing the operator to power their machines using the mains electricity supply where available. For versatility and flexibility, the machines can also be powered by an on-board diesel engine or gen-set for sites that do not have available direct mains power source infrastructure.

When working in a crushing and screening train the hybrid screeners can be connected to upstream or downstream hybrid crushers that generate sufficient electricity to power the screeners providing significant cost savings.
